- The manuscript should be relevant to the focus and scope of Scienta Journal, particularly in the fields of science and science education.
B. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript submitted to Scienta Journal should be organized according to the following structure:
- Title. The title must clearly reflect the main focus of the study and should not exceed 15 words. It should be concise, informative, and relevant to the content of the manuscript.
- Abstract. The abstract must briefly present the background, research gap, research objective, method, main findings, and conclusion that written in English. It should be written in one paragraph, using Cambria 10-point font, single spacing, and justified alignment. The abstract should not contain citations or uncommon abbreviations and must be written in 150–250 words.
- Keywords. Authors should provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript. Keywords must be written using Cambria 11-point font and separated by semicolons.
- Introduction. The introduction should explain the background of the study, the research problem, relevant previous studies, the research gap, the objective of the study, and the novelty of the research. This section should also present the theoretical foundation that supports the study. The introduction must be written in well-developed paragraphs and should not be divided into subheadings.
- Method. The method section should describe clearly and systematically how the research was conducted. This section may include subheadings when necessary, such as research design, time and location of the study, population and sample or research subjects, data collection techniques, research instruments, and data analysis techniques. The explanation must be detailed enough to allow readers to understand the research process.
- Results and Discussion. This section presents the research findings and discusses them in relation to relevant theories, previous studies, and the research objectives. The discussion should be arranged systematically, moving from general findings to more specific analysis. Tables, figures, diagrams, charts, or interview transcripts may be included when needed to support the presentation of data. Subheadings may be used in this section to organize the discussion more clearly.
- Conclusion. The conclusion must answer the research objective and highlight the contribution of the study to the development of science or science education. It should not merely repeat the abstract or restate the results. Authors should also explain the possible implications, applications, limitations, and recommendations for future research.
- Acknowledgement (optional). Authors may include an acknowledgement section to recognize individuals or institutions that contributed to the research. This may include research advisors, funding institutions, proofreaders, laboratory assistants, data providers, or other parties who supported the completion of the study.
- References. The manuscript must include at least 15 references. Most references should come from journal articles, and at least 80% of the journal references should have been published within the last five years. All references must be written in APA style.
